Every document permutation FoxID has learned to read.
From a market gap in 2019 to 12,000+ scans a day, this is the catalogue FoxID has built up along the way: 400+ document permutations of the 6,000+ documents FoxID reads, across 100+ countries and territories. Search it by country, region or category.
Every country in the catalogue, on one map
Shading shows how many permutations the catalogue lists for each country. Drag the map to move across it. Larger countries are selected on the shape itself; smaller jurisdictions such as Singapore, Malta, Macao and Tuvalu carry a marker so they are still one click away.

Everything named in the catalogue so far. Open any row for the detail: most entries carry a written description covering the on-card titles FoxID matches and the documents it deliberately excludes.
Grouped into 10+ document categories
Type codes follow the spelling each issuing country uses, so driving licence, driver licence and driver’s licence all appear in the raw list. The category layer normalises that, so one choice returns every driving and vehicle document wherever it comes from.
Six years of documents, one catalogue
Nobody sits down and writes a list of permutations this long. It accumulates, one document at a time, as real customers bring real paperwork that has to be read correctly the first time.
FoxID has been developed entirely in Australia by IDV Pacific since 2019, and the catalogue is the residue of that work: every permutation we have had to name, describe and tell apart from the one next to it.
The list is a record, not a limit. FoxID has been template-free since Gen 4, so it reads layouts it has never seen before. A document missing from this catalogue has simply not been named here yet.
A market gap in Australian document OCR. FoxID development begins.
Relative positioning: Australian IDs read by structure.
Solved the Victorian and Tasmanian clear-window problem.
AI face and signature detection at 99.6% accuracy.
Template-free contextual AI reads layouts it has never seen.
Parallel processing auto-scales in around 5 seconds; now 12,000+ daily scans.
The next leap in template-free extraction, led by the two changes that touch this catalogue directly.
- Normalised document classification
- Configurable country and document-type validation
- Integrated selfie-to-document facial matching
- Direct AI-vision document extraction
- Organisation-level and API-key-level configuration
- Australian licence and Photo Card extraction improvements
- Validation audit records
- Improved reliability under processing load
What each entry tells you
Every row carries four things: the type code, the display name, the issuing country, and, for most permutations, a description saying what the document is and what it is not.
Type code
The stable code for the permutation, for example AUS_PASSPORT. Codes are grouped into categories so that spelling differences between countries do not split one concept across five separate lists.
Display name
The human-readable label, written the way the issuing country writes it. You will see both Japanese Passport and Australia Photo Card, and both are correct for their source.
What it is not
Many descriptions carry an explicit exclusion. The International Driving Permit entry, for example, states that it is not a standalone driving licence and does not replace the holder’s domestic card.
Frequently asked questions
One permutation is one entry in the FoxID catalogue: a type code such as AUS_PASSPORT, a display name, and the issuing country. The library lists 400+ of them across 100+ countries and territories, out of the 6,000+ documents FoxID reads.
100+ countries and territories, plus a small global group of permutations that are not tied to any one country. Oceania and the Pacific is the largest region, followed by Asia, Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Africa. Filter by region on the map to see how each one breaks down.
Most entries carry a written description. The rest are listed with their type code, country and category while the description is being written. They are all active permutations in the catalogue either way.
Type codes follow the spelling used by each issuing country, so driving licence, driver licence and driver’s licence all appear. Filtering by the Driving and vehicle category returns all of them together, and the search treats the two spellings as the same word.
No, and that is the point. This is a record of the permutations we have named and described so far, built up since 2019, out of the 6,000+ documents FoxID reads. Because FoxID has been template-free since Gen 4, it reads layouts it has never seen before, so a document being absent from this list does not mean it cannot be read. The list grows as new permutations are catalogued.
Very possibly. FoxID is template-free, so it is not limited to a fixed template library. Tell us the country and the document through the form below, or send a sample set, and a specialist will come back to you on what FoxID does with it today.
